After four days of pool play against teams from eight different countries (Japan, Germany, US, Australia, UK, Columbia, France and Finland) we finished the round robin with an 7-1 record. Our only loss came in our match against Godiva (Boston, US) in a close battle that ended 13-11 in their favour. On Friday we started off with semis against Germany, a game that we won decisively 17-3. The gold medal game was broadcast live (and for free) by Skyd Magazine. We took the lead to start the game and never looked back. We were in it to win it, and win we did! As this was the inaugural year for the women’s masters category at the World Ultimate Club Championships, by winning gold Vintage becomes the first women’s masters club team to win this division at WUCC.
